Perturbative calculations of deuteron form factors

We calculate the deuteron charge, electric quadrupole, and magnetic form factors up to next-to-next-to-leading order in chiral effective field theory, treating subleading corrections, especially that of nuclear forces, perturbation theory. examine power counting based on naive dimensional analysis by investigating ultraviolet cutoff variation these factors. find N${}^2$LO factor shows significant dependence, suggesting contact current operator responsible be enhanced. After promotion N${}^2$LO, it indeed renormalizes factor. This is agreement with a previous work renormalization-group analysis. For charge quadrupole moments, perturbative calculation allows us study how they scale multiple low-energy parameters such as pion mass, binding momentum, momentum transfer.
